Setting.

The Odds is a survival-horror game, which is patterned after the faux reality game show, Siberia. There will be an equal mix of survival and horror in the game, and players should take note that this game will contain disturbing psychological themes, violence, gore, and death. Players should be prepared for their characters to die or be hurt at any time during the game.

Characters are sent a letter, which is seen in the premise, inviting them to take part in this 'new and exciting game show' to win a prize of $500,000. While not all characters may want to win a cash prize, they are still drawn to taking part in the game for some reason. The reason is for you to come up with.

Contestants are told that not only do they have to survive the wild around them with bare essentials, they must also live alongside their rival contestants who are picked up from every walk of life. They may not always get along, which can cause a high amount of tension in such a little area. The rules to the game are to be the last man standing and to do whatever it takes to win. Players can look out for themselves or their teammates, but in the end, only one person wins.

Here are some areas characters may encounter:

CAMP HQ
The camp is the first area players will encounter, as this is where they will be staying for their 20 days. There are three cabins, each filled with five bunk-beds (for a total occupancy of 30 people). There is also a fire pit in the middle of camp, complete with hollowed out logs to sit on, but no conventional way to make fire. Each cabin is equipped with blankets, pillows, sheets, two baskets to put items in, a shovel, an axe, and a basic first aid kit. A landline telephone has been installed that directly contacts the producers' camp in case of dire emergencies; it sits on a lone, telephone pole beside the cabins.

HELIPAD
This is where characters first land upon being brought into the game. It's a half-mile away from the camp and there is a red button characters can push if they choose to quit. Once the button is pushed, a couple hours later a helicopter comes to fly them back to the nearest city to get them sent home. To get to the helipad, there is a marked trail leading outside of camp that can be followed. The beginning of this trail, which is noticeable because of the wooden planks that make it up, has a small gate at the beginning. Once a character goes through this gate, they have surrendered and are officially no longer part of the game.

LAKE
A couple miles away from Camp HQ, there is a lake where characters can gather water or bathe in. It's a surprisingly warm lake, as well as clean. A river sprouts off of it and travels a ways away from it. Fish have been spotted underneath its blue depths or swimming down the river.

PRODUCERS' CAMP
While called the producers' camp, there is no one ever at this camp except the host, Ivan Zaroff. The camp is actually two large RVs, with all the fixings of a wonderful home away from home. If contestants succeed in winning challenges, sometimes the reward is to come here and have a nice meal or a hot shower. One Jeep is kept here to travel back and forth between the Contestant Camp and the Producers' Camp. This camp is six miles away from Camp HQ.

UNKNOWN BUILDING

Beyond the producers' camp is a non-descript building with Russian written next to the door. No one is quite sure what this building is for, as it's locked with a heavy padlock, but it's been there before the game show started. Producers have stated that it's simply an abandoned outpost and is of no import. There's a radio tower attached to it. It's another three miles away from the producer's camp.
